Institute for oncology
Basic
activities: Institute for oncology is a professional
, scientific and educative institution in CCUS in the field of oncology.
Patients diseased of malignant tumors are treated at the Institute.
Kinds of treatment performed are: radiotherapy, chemotherapy, hormonal
therapy and immunotherapy.
Radiotherapy is performed by external sources of irradiation (teletherapy)
and internal sources of irradiation (brachytherapy). Patients are
treated as inpatients, outpatients or in "daily hospital". After
treatment, patients are controlled in regular time intervals.
Outpatients department - initial investigation of patients, consultation
investigation of oncology patients hospitalized in other institutions
in Clinical Center (consular service ) and periodical examinations
of treated patients. .
