for Clinical Cytology and Pathology
Department of clinical
cytology is the only one that functions at the Institute, while the
two others are in the phase of development and preparation. The basic
activity of the Institute is:
- Analyses of cytological material, obtained by aspiration exfoliate
and imprint methods in early detection of malignancies and follow-up
of the impact of therapy,
- Cytological diagnostics, which includes pulmological, hematological,
gynecological, breast cytology, and also the cytology of thyroid
glands, prostate, neck, soft tissues and liquor.
Number
of specijalist: 13 specialists in microbiology and clinical
immunology.
